Contemporary Women's Writing: New Texts, Approaches, and Technologies
The State of California, and hence the California university systems, are in a state of profound budget crises. As a result, faculty have been laid off, student fees have been markedly increased, and all current faculty and staff, including the conference organizers, have been subject to two days per month of furlough and a ten-percent pay reduction for the current academic year and potentially longer. In this economic climate, we are unfortunately not able to offer any funding assistance or conference registration waivers to conference delegates, beyond the drastically reduced hotel guest room rates that we have been able to secure. We are dependent upon registration fees in order to cover the basic costs of the conference. We appreciate your understanding during these difficult economic times.
